The ambiance is lively without being overwhelming, making it easy to feel like you’re catching up with old friends or making new ones over a shared taste of Cuban culture.
Food at Sabor de Cuba naturally takes center stage, but it’s not just about the dishes themselves; it’s the way the flavors tell stories. From the brightness of freshly muddled mojitos to the rich comfort of slow-cooked meats and the earthy depth of black beans and plantains, each bite is layered with tradition and care. The menu communicates with both the familiar and the unexpected — whether it’s a tender pan-seared flank steak kissed by lime and garlic, or crispy, golden Yuca Frita served alongside robust café con leche.

This is my second time here, last time I was here I I had dinner and it was amazing. The rope viewable was awesome. On this visit, all we did was have drinks and an appetizer and desert. Highly recommend this place as it serves authentic Cuban food.

When you are visiting a City and you want to return to the same restaurant you ate at 4 months ago that says something about the food! I am going back next time Cuban food that does not disappoint, and I have been to Cuba ????????

Sightseeing in historic Frederick opted to have a Cuban late lunch. Chose to outdoor seating on account of a furry companion due to indoor restrictions. We ordered shrimp plate which was quite generous with plump shrimp, flat skirt steak tender and flavorful topped with chimic hurri, mastita de puerco-a plate of deeply fried marinated chunky pork pieces with white rice, plantains andblack beans, hefty and filling and lastly arroz pollo like a cuban version of chicken biryani but milder and nicely seasoned rice. Service was attentive. A bit disappointing patio seating-limited space and inadequate shading from harsh summer afternoon sunshine and water bowl for pet needing some washing and fresh water.

I have been craving Cuban food for a while. Who knew that in quaint downtown Frederick there was a authentic Cuban restaurant?? I come to Frederick fairly regularly as a bottle club member at Tenth Ward and Sabor De Cuba is right down the street! I was looking for a lunch option nearby and found this place. My favorite dish is masitas de puerco. The tender, marinated fried pork and onions do something to my soul! They do have it on the menu but I opted for something lighter in the middle of my long day. I ordered the papa rellena appetizer and a Cuban sandwich. The papa was pricey. At my favorite cafecito in my hometown in California, I can get 3 for the price I paid here but it was absolutely delicious. Not for nothing the sauce they served it with was good too and I'm not a condiment kinda girl. The Cuban was perfect too. Authentic bread, tasty innards, and a good portion. Service was fast and friendly. I'll definitely be returning!

This place is a downtown Frederick treasure! The atmosphere is inviting and the customer service is always great! Servers come around constantly to check in and offer refills. The food here is always amazing!! You have to start with the sizzling shrimp - if anything, ask for more bread! It is such a mouth-watering dish to look at and even better to eat!! I ordered the Bistec de Palomilla which was very tasty and filling. My friend ordered the Ropa Vieja which she also enjoyed. The serving sizes are great - I had enough for the next day. Oooh...I didn't take a photo but their mojitos are even great and well priced! LOVE THIS PLACE!!
